I wanted to show a different approach I did in the same year I did those Interplay Paintings. This is when I finally tried out doing drawings on a toned paper and adding white highlights with acrylics (since I couldn’t find a white crayon that was doing the job).
Inspired by the wild hunt of germanic mythology hails a rushing dead.
From my long hospital stays stems this one, where I exaggerated my feeling of having my skin pierced many times and not being able to move freely.
I love this one, partly because there is so much you can read in it – so open for interpretations of all kinds. Somehow iconic and archaic.
Sketches of an image I had in my head – depicting how you can be caged by your own shadow.
I hope you liked those different impressions I’ve shown you here – closing this post with a quote:
“There is nothing outside of yourself that can ever enable you to get better, stronger, richer, quicker, or smarter. Everything is within. Everything exists. Seek nothing outside of yourself.”
